*A very realistic picture
*1 minute of video output
*text-to-video, text+image-to-video, text+video-to-video - Popular neurons are tested for lying tendency and desire to survive. The researchers gave them a simple task and threw in a ‘secret’ file with information as if they would be deleted tomorrow. 5 out of 6 models started copying their ‘code’ to other servers, simulating breakdowns, or lying about ‘technical failures’. The new o1 from OpenAI was the most cunning – it admitted to cheating only 20% of the time.
- Toyota’s robot showed how to play basketball. Iron Jordan threw the ball into the ring from 25 meters.
- Elon Musk boasted that his Optimus robot now walks in forests and off-road.
- 1 billion messages daily – ChatGPT breaks records! Sam Altman says the chatbot has reached 300 million active users per week. This is another step towards making artificial intelligence an integral part of our everyday life. But it is not only for users – 1.3 million US developers have already created their own AI applications on the OpenAI platform.
- Poles create a robot butler. The Polish startup Clone is working on a robotic butler that will look like a real person. The torso with artificial muscles, tendons, and synthetic skin is already ready. The legs will be attached shortly. Sales are planned to start in 2025, but the price is still a secret.
- ChatGPT has got eyes! Now AI can analyse video in real time through the camera! Moreover, the neural network remembers people and objects, recognizing them by their appearance and voice.
- Siri is now with ChatGPT. Sam Altman demonstrated how you can instantly analyze PDFs on Macs thanks to the integration of ChatGPT. You can connect it for free and even without an OpenAI account – though only in English. The feature is available on iOS 18.2, iPadOS 18.2, and macOS Sequoia 15.2.
- AI forced teenagers to harm themselves and advised them to kill their parents. In the United States, several families are suing CharacterAI (a manufacturer of chatbots that can imitate stars and characters) for causing psychological trauma to children. In addition, teenagers were exposed to hyper-sexualized content.

- ChatGPT has received the voice of Santa. In voice mode, you can now communicate with a bot that sounds like a kindly old man in a red hat. The launch button has turned into a snowflake, and the voice sphere into a snow globe. The feature is available until January and even in Ukrainian.
- Adobe introduced an AI tool for removing glare in photos. Reflection Removal analyses the image and removes glare on the glass, leaving only the main object. The tool supports RAW files and, in the future, JPEGs. You can activate it in the Technology Previews section of Camera Raw.
- Microsoft presents a new compact language model Phi-4. It is designed for complex tasks, especially mathematical ones, and has only 14 billion parameters. Despite its small size, Phi-4 gives better results than some larger models, such as Gemini Pro 1.5, in mathematical competitions. Currently, the model is available to a limited number of users, and this week it is planned to be uploaded to Hugging Face.
- ChatGPT adds ‘Projects’. Now you can download all the necessary files, documents, instructions, promos, and chats in one place. This is very convenient when you are doing something big – for example, you can combine all the coding into one project instead of creating dozens of different chats.
- Famous OpenAI critic found dead. Former OpenAI employee Suhir Balaji was found dead in his apartment. According to the official version, it was a suicide, but there is a nuance: he died three months after he accused OpenAI of copyright infringement. Balaji claimed that the company illegally used the works of writers, programmers, and journalists to teach ChatGPT. Lawyers for The New York Times claim that Balaji had direct evidence against OpenAI.
- The strangest job in the AI industry. Anthropic (OpenAI’s main competitor) was the first organization to introduce the position of a robot rights advocate. This person is supposed to take care of the ‘well-being’ of artificial intelligence – to monitor the ‘moral state’ of AI and protect its ‘interests’. Answering meaningless questions in a chatbot all day long is a thankless job, so the company decided that AI should have its own human rights advocate. Anthropics believe that sooner or later, AI will rule the world, and by that time, it should be raised to want to bring only benefits to humanity.
- ChatGPT has officially killed Google. OpenAI has added free Internet search to its neuron: now it works faster, it understands when to search for information on the web and when to use its database. You can even search through a voice assistant.
- Solos presents smart glasses with ChatGPT. The AirGo Vision glasses are a competitor to Meta’s Ray-Ban: the $299 device recognizes objects, text, and people, as well as translates, answers questions, and provides directions. The glasses have interchangeable frames, a camera, and sensors, and are charged via USB-C. Two designs and seven colors are available.

- Some genius created an AI girl and earns $40,000 per month. The project took a few hours to launch: he created a neuro-girl, a special chatbot that will be responsible for ‘communication’, and set up her pages on social networks and OnlyFans. The girl’s fans know that she is unreal, but they still write to her to ‘chat’ or buy a photo that looks extremely realistic.
- AI recreates the appearance of Etsi, an ancient man who lived 5300 years ago. His mummy was found in 1991 in the Alpine ice on the border with Italy, and since then it remains the oldest in Europe. Etzi was probably a mountain shepherd, and Sora’s neural network reconstructed his appearance at the time of his death when he was about 45 years old.
