  • Flow: Write better scripts with autocomplete and contextual details in Run code

The Run Code action in Flow has been improved and improved with modern code editing features, including autocomplete and hover details. When writing code, the editor can now dynamically inject the input parameter in the main script function, allowing you to change the query and suggest possible values. This helps you write code faster by suggesting possible completions for partially typed words and minimizes the likelihood of errors. Hovering over code elements provides instant access to type information, making valid values ​​clear and reducing errors.

  • Storefront filters now support category metafields

Merchants who have set up product categories using Shopify’s Standard Product Taxonomy can now offer category metafields as a storefront filter using the Shopify Search & Discovery app. With this update, sample filters now also automatically appear in the storefront filter dropdown, and filter values ​​are automatically grouped under a single value (for example, Powder Blue and Navy Blue are automatically displayed in the “Blue” filter option).

  • YouTube Shorts now supported as external file type in the file system

Shopify has added support for YouTube Shorts to the file picker in the admin. Merchants can now upload YouTube Shorts to products and other assets by adding the YouTube Shorts URL to the “add from URL” field available in the file picker.
